Update on DOIT HCMC Procedure: Important Changes to Promotional Program Notifications

According to Official Notice No. 5690/TB-SCT, dated September 6, 2024, the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City (DOIT HCMC) has introduced major changes concerning the submission of promotional notifications. Specifically, for promotional programs that require notification to the DOITs under Decree 81/2018/ND-CP, the DOIT HCMC will no longer review or approve these notifications. Instead, the responsibility for ensuring the legal compliance of promotional programs will rest entirely with the company conducting them.

Companies can now launch their promotional programs just three working days after submitting the required notifications, eliminating the need to wait for DOIT HCMC approval.

These updates mark a streamlined approach, giving businesses more flexibility and efficiency in rolling out promotional campaigns.
