LNT & Partners is honored to be shortlisted for the Global Competition Review 2024 award for ‘Merger control matter of the year - Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa: Hanwha/Daewoo.’ In collaboration with co-counsels Yulchon, LNT led the Vietnam antitrust workstream of Hanwha Group's landmark USD 1.5 billion acquisition of leading shipbuilder Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering. Completion of the acquisition has cemented Hanwha's position as a comprehensive energy solutions provider and expanded the group's footprint in global marine energy solutions and shipbuilding.

The project team was led by antitrust practice head Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan and comprises team members Senior associate Tran Hai Thinh, Associate Tran Hoang My and Nguyen Hoai Vu.

Winners will be announced on April 9, 2024, at the GCR's Annual Awards Ceremony in Washington D.C., celebrating excellence in antitrust law.
